New Registrant Database System
The first stage of the CRNS’ new registrant database system, Alinity, launched on July 22, 2024.
The new system provides registrants and applicants with secure access to their CRNS online profile to complete applications for licensure and renewal, apply for exams, upload documents and engage in the continuing competence program.
Registrants are required to log in to the new system using their unique email address. Registrants cannot share an email address with another registrant.
For increased security, two-factor authentication is required to access the online portal. Two-factor authentication provides an additional level of security that requires you to verify that you are the owner of the account with a verification code.
Frequently Asked Questions
Creating a new account within Alinity will not give you access to your existing profile. We recommend contacting info@crns.ca and CRNS staff will contact you to verify your identity prior to making changes to your account login information. Once the login email has been updated, you will receive the ‘Welcome to Alinity’ email at your new email address. Follow the steps outlined in the email to confirm your account and login.
How-to Guides
All current applicants/registrants received a ‘Welcome to Alinity’ email with links and instructions on how to access the online portal. The first time you log in, you will be prompted to create a new password. Once complete, all applicants/registrants can access the portal with their email address and password.
As part of the two-factor authentication process, you will be prompted to submit a validation code when you log in. The code will be sent to your email address. Go to your inbox, copy the verification code, and then input this code exactly as shown into the web browser. Click “validate” and you will be logged in and able to access the portal.
If you do not receive the verification code, please check your spam/junk folder. If you use any anti-virus software on your devices (i.e., Avast Anti-Virus), you may have to disable or add the portal to the allowed list so emails from the database come through to your inbox.
If you have any questions, please contact the CRNS at info@crns.ca
If you have forgotten your password and need to reset it, go the portal page. Request a password reset by clicking “Forgot your password.”
You will be directed to input the email address that you provided to the CRNS, as well as a verification code. After you enter this information and click “Submit” you will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Follow the instructions provided in the email to create a new password for your account.
Registrants are responsible for ensuring their online profile is up to date. Registrants are encouraged to update their contact information, including name changes, practice/employment changes and other vital information to ensure it is as current as possible.
To make a change, log in to the portal page using your email and password.
Select the “My Profile” tab on the left to access the profile update form. Click “Edit profile” and select the information you wish to change. If the changes require CRNS approval, registration staff will be notified to confirm and approve. Once approved, your information will become active on your profile.

To request verification of registration, select this option from under the “My Forms” section on the home page of the portal.
